This is a bunch of icons from several icontests I took part in. Unfortunately most of them didn't win a thing, but well, I have fun making them and taking part in the contests so, if you ask me, yes, I think I'll participate in more. Now to the icons.

I've been wanting to make icons from The Barber of Siberia for a long time because I love it to bits.

It's probably one of my favorite movies ever. I really like Julia Ormond as an actress but who I really love here is Oleg Menshikov. I hadn't seen any of his previous movies and this was a discovery to me. A very pleasant one. He's magnificent and the quemistry between his character and Julia's is amazing.

Anyway if you haven't seen it, I truly recommend it!

Icons from another Josef/Coraline manip... a pairing I don't even know if I'll ship yet, but as I find them very beautiful and they look good together, I made another one.

Somebody in my flist has already posted some of these images in icons form but I like them so much and I find Matthew Goode and Robert Pattinson so hot in Hackett's clothes that I had to share. Don't expect that I manage to articulate properly.

I haven't posted them before because I feel a bit self-concious, like they're saying 'look what a got, how cool I am!' but in some way, I'm glad people liked what I made and I got a price of some kind... that means a couple of banners.

The teaser of the last Bones episode was one of the best I remember. I'm sure there may be others that are pretty great, but this one was quite funny to me.

The rest of the episode was okay... I didn't like that Sully guy, mainly because, it's just me, but the guy was the non-handsome version of Booth. I think it was on purprose, but well, maybe it's just me... However, the episode improved when Stephen Fry appeared! How much I love the guy!!! And he'll be in another two eps! Yay!!

I just hope the guy disappears soon because he's kind of annoying to me... even when I'm just happy if Booth and Brennan remain as they are, just kind of 'special' friends who care *very* much for the other...

Today is Takuya Kimura's 34 Birthday. To celebrate it, here is the collection of Takuya Kimura icons I've made til today (from most recent -here- to earliest works -at the bottom-). They are some early icons I didn't post here before... but well, today I don't mind ;). Hope you don't mind my spamming today. If you like/take any, I would love comments and credit.

I made the icon I'm using right now the other day and I really like the effect I manage that it's very simple but I thought about making a set of icons with that effect for my favorite moments ever from episode 3 (=proposal and kisses) and here they are (set of 10).

I was going to put a LJcut but as I'm using a similar icon to the ones I've made, I think there is no point. Sorry if somebody haven't watched episode 3.

laladijanvier asked me for an icon of Toby Stephens from Mangal Pandey: The Rising without text and as I found that one and the others I made in that bunch long time ago, I've decided to take the text off them and, in some cases, to make some small changes in color or stuff... and repost them in case somebody may be interested.

I knew I should have waited til the four episodes aired... but we were talking about Toby Stephens and I couldn't help it.

I've seen the first two episodes of Jane Eyre and I love it so much that it hurts! I need to watch the rest of the episodes right now!! I need it!! Arrggg! ;)

I love Toby in everything he's worked in but I honestly can say that he is magnificent as Rochester. I must confess I'm not very versed in Jane Eyre or the Brontë sisters since their works were the ones that were obligatory to read in English class and I have to say that it was hard! So now, yes, I regret it but I didn't read Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights... I've watched the tv/movie versions, though... but I do know that there are a lot of people that are more excited about this production than I was because the love the story and I was excited just because Toby was in it... And he didn't disappoint me.

I also like the rest of the cast, especially Ruth Wilson, who I hadn't seen in anything else before, and who is a great Jane Eyre, and the lovely, lovely Georgie Henley as young Jane. I was so astonished by her work in The Chronicles of Narnia! So young and so talented! And here, she is amazing in the few moments she is in the production!

A bit of spoilerish moments I love:

Love the first encounter between Rochester and Jane when he calls her witch... Love when they shake hands and Jane is so happy... especially love the moment when she gets to bed and kiss her hand so so happy for the first time!

Love how he teases her sometimes... how he wants her to decide if Blanche is the bride for him, or if he really is in love with her... And, of course the last teasing in episode 2, about the money and how he asks her not to leave.
