I haven't seen it yet, because I have too many things to watch and also because there are no subs yet and I really hope there will be some soon, but in Ten to Chi to Matsuoka Masahiro looks incredibly hot (even in costumes) and intense, that I had to share Read more... )

After watching Itoshi Kimi e, it happened what I was afraid it could happen, I discover Fujiki Naohito. Although I don't like dramatic jdramas I gave it a try and now I'm glad I did.

Checking Naohito's series I found he's done some comedies and I decided to watch one of them: Hotaru no Hikari and I'm loving it so much that now it's in my top ten of favorite jdramas ever.

Oh my! It's bad watching episodes unsubbed but it's even worse when they end in a terrible cliffhanger!! Now I have to wait a week for the next episode! Episode 7 was good but episode 8 is even better. Very, very good. I really enjoyed it! It has cute Inoue/Ogata moments! *dances happy* It's so bad that the series is approaching the last episode... *cries*

As usual I wanted to post earlier but baby ginger got a bit sick and we've been kind of busy with him the whole weekend. Everybody says that is what happens when babies started assisting the nursery school. For me it was just a very awful experience to see how weak and uncomfortable he was yesterday, the poor thing!

Anyway, I had my short session of tv, watched Ugly Betty and Moonlight and discovered Secret Diary of a Call Girl, with Billie Piper, which I really enjoyed watching.

SPOILERS ahead about those three series.

Ugly Betty was good as usual. I really liked Daniel and Alexis good brotherly relationship but all knew it was doomed as Alexis was likely to remember everything eventually, and well, she did. I wonder what will happen next between them. I'm also curious about the new plot line with Christina's husband. Betty and Henry's thing was touching but it was time already they took that decision! However the best thing ever in that episode was Marc and his -I hope- boyfriend. He's so cute (M's boyfriend) that Marc would lose points if he decided not to be with him. They're so great together. I so can imagine them dating and sharing each other's lives...

I can't help shed a tear every single time Hilda talks about Santos, and this time that she was talking to Justin and both were trying to deal with the reality of their lost, I just couldn't help it. That for me is a sign that means 'tv show well made'.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl is what its title says. I like the tone of the series, I really like that Billie's character is talking to the camera us, telling her story as she sees it, the pros, the cons, how it works, who she meets, how they are... To me it seems that Billie is confident about playing this part and also enjoying it. And another thing I really like is that Billie's body isn't like a model's (I hope you get what I mean) she has curves, not a lot, but she isn't just bones and in fact I think she is really beautiful and looks good in the outfits and all. Anyway if you want to watch something kind of hot, watch it. Besides the guy playing her closest friend, Ben, is pretty interesting too.

About Moonlight. I think I didn't comment about episode 4 either. I enjoyed it. In fact I like every episode a bit more than the previous one, so that's good! I really like the way things are going for Mick and Beth and to my surprise, Beth is turning into a very interesting character. I love the way she handled everything vampires/Mick related and the chemistry between she and Mick is great imo.

Episode 5 was a blast. Seriously, I think is the best one so far. It has so many great moments... Read more... )

I've watched The Rise of Catherine the Great a movie from 1934 where Douglas Fairbanks Jr. stars as the Grand Duke Peter, heir to the throne who married the Catherine from the title. I found out the dvd got released here. I don't know anywhere else where it has been released in this format and I even got a vhs copy in ebay not long ago. I really like it, so that's the reason of this post, to recommend it. )

As usual I'm lacking the coherent words... I just say that the last episode has amazing moments that I've been trying to picture in my head the whole week!!! Finally they didn't disappoint me, since they are even better than I imagined...

I have to say that I've watched the last 13 minutes around three or four times already (and probably will do it again soon) because those scenes are the most beautiful and touching thing ever!

Ruth Wilson is amazing as she's been in the previous episodes... but as usual Toby was the best thing! I love the vulnerability and humanity he gives to Rochester at the end... How his feelings are more in surface than before and how damaged he thinks he is to keep Jane with him...

I love the interaction between them at the end because it is the same they had always had... I've only seen the same scene in the Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke version, and although the teasing and the relationship between them is kept as it should be, my favorite is the one between Toby and Ruth... so touching, so emotive... I was so much as crying like a baby...

I can't really wait for February to come! I need this DVD now!!!

Anyway as the only think I'll manage is to repeat myself and say again how wonderful the last part is... I think I'll stick with my method: picspam of my favorite moments.

very spoilerish pic spam. You've been warned!!! )

Okay, this thing has erased my whole post and I just don't know how!! *mad* so now my post will be shorter :/ Can't remember what I wrote in the previous one...

Anyway, I was posting about how wonderful was Jane Eyre episode 3 and how little I could say that hadn't been said already.

I just going to repeat this: Toby and Ruth are amazing! I love their chemistry and I love their scenes togethers. Love the proposal scene, and especially love that there are kisses! More than one!!! Thing that usually costume dramas lack of... O_o

I love how Rochester pulls Jane toward him and how he places his hand on her neck *faints*

Anyway, sorry, and bear with me, but pic spams from the proposal and some kisses

how uncomfortable they look at the beginning, how wonderful it is at the end )

kisses! Toby should kiss more often in films )

I knew I should have waited til the four episodes aired... but we were talking about Toby Stephens and I couldn't help it.

I've seen the first two episodes of Jane Eyre and I love it so much that it hurts! I need to watch the rest of the episodes right now!! I need it!! Arrggg! ;)

I love Toby in everything he's worked in but I honestly can say that he is magnificent as Rochester. I must confess I'm not very versed in Jane Eyre or the Brontë sisters since their works were the ones that were obligatory to read in English class and I have to say that it was hard! So now, yes, I regret it but I didn't read Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights... I've watched the tv/movie versions, though... but I do know that there are a lot of people that are more excited about this production than I was because the love the story and I was excited just because Toby was in it... And he didn't disappoint me.

I also like the rest of the cast, especially Ruth Wilson, who I hadn't seen in anything else before, and who is a great Jane Eyre, and the lovely, lovely Georgie Henley as young Jane. I was so astonished by her work in The Chronicles of Narnia! So young and so talented! And here, she is amazing in the few moments she is in the production!

A bit of spoilerish moments I love:

Love the first encounter between Rochester and Jane when he calls her witch... Love when they shake hands and Jane is so happy... especially love the moment when she gets to bed and kiss her hand so so happy for the first time!

Love how he teases her sometimes... how he wants her to decide if Blanche is the bride for him, or if he really is in love with her... And, of course the last teasing in episode 2, about the money and how he asks her not to leave.

how can I not love Toby as Rochester: a small pic spam )

OMG! I think I lost the ability of using words coherently.

Just watched Gale as Wyatt Earp in Deadwood. He's magnificent, divine... Can I have a dusty, scruffy, mustached Gale all for myself... Love the dusty coat, the dirty face and the longish hair... the gun at his hip, boots... ahhhh

pic spam this way. Should be seated while watching )

This is one of the times I would love to live in London. I know a lot of people have been talking about Pirates of the Caribbean 2 premiere and the movie (sadly, we can't see it here until August :/)... but I've been busy, and I didn't check pics or anything til this morning.... But what pics!!! That was a kind of OBASC reunion to me!!!

PIC SPAM: Jack Davenport, Tom Hollander, Damian Lewis and James Purefoy!!! A total fest! )

The wedding yesterday was great. I think we had more fun that we'd thought. We also took tons of silly pics and videos... and I arrived home pretty tired around 3 a.m.:S

Anyway, today I've watched Krakatoa, the last days. It's a movie, or more a historical drama documentary, about the last days of the Indonesia's volcano in its eruption in 1883.

Rupert-Penry Jones plays one of the main characters )

This is one of those things that surprises you because you don't expect it happening... I didn't see it coming but I'm not going to regret it since I'm having fun, honestly.
We got a new tv station here, Cuatro, that shows a lot of US series, Rome, Alias, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, House, Dead Like Me... and Las Vegas... I've become addicted to it and I couldn't help it. It isn't one of those series that makes you think a lot... It's a series a bit different from the ones I usually like, but I'm just having fun watching it -it's enjoyable- and discovering what happens in every episode. Besides is pretty funny to see which famous actor is going to guess star and all ;)
However the main reason for me to watch is the character of Danny McCoy (played by Josh Duhamel). He is so cute, funny and wears suits so impressively that I couldn't help to fall for this character! Besides he is probably the one with more screen time and for that I thank the series creators. He is the security chief in charge of keeping things in order in the casino (Montecito) and right hand of the charater played by James Caan. He usually has to deal with evebody and everything. Poor thing! ;)
I still haven't seen all episodes, just some and not all in order :S but I'm in my way (they air the series twice per week and I ordered series 1 in dvd because it was on sale!)

to make my point, pic spam  )
